Scolopocryptops troglocaudatus, una nueva especie de ciempiés.

En este nuevo artículo publicado en ZooKeys, investigadores de Brasil describen una nueva especie de ciempiés, Scolopocryptops troglocaudatus. La especie se encuentra en una zona kárstica del este de Brasil, en tres cuevas de la Chapada da Diamantina, en el estado de Bahía. S. troglocaudatus es cercana a S. miersii y S. ferrugineus macrodon, pero se diferencia de ellas por las características como despigmentación, apéndices largos y una cutícula delgada. Esta nueva especie es la segunda de su clase descrita mundialmente y la primera descubierta en Brasil.
